S$200 NS LifeSG credits to be given to past & present NSmen in Nov. 2024
Money money money.

In November 2024, 1.2 million past and present national servicemen (NSmen) will receive S$200 in LifeSG credits to recognise their contributions to Singapore's defence and security.

As announced in the 2024 Budget, the S$200 LifeSG credits will be progressively disbursed by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Eligible NSmen will automatically receive the credits via the LifeSG app by Nov. 30, 2024.

The credits will be valid for one year from the disbursement date.

NSmen can access the credits and check their validity via the LifeSG app.

The credits can be used at any online or physical merchant that accepts payments via PayNow UEN or NETS QR.

Are you eligible?

Past and present operationally ready NSmen and full-time national servicemen (NSFs) are eligible for the credits.

This includes NSFs enlisting by Dec. 31, 2024.

NSFs who enlist after Sep. 15, 2024, will receive their credits in December 2024.

SINGAPORE – Some 1.2 million past and present national servicemen will receive $200 in LifeSG credits by November.

The move was announced during Budget 2024.

The credits, which can be used at online or physical merchants that accept payment via PayNow or Nets QR, are valid for a year.

All who enlist by the end of 2024 will receive the credits.

The LifeSG credits will be progressively disbursed to those eligible by Nov 30, said the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs in a joint statement on Oct 30.

But those who enlist after Sept 15 will receive the credits in December.

Once the amount has been credited, the national serviceman will receive an SMS notification from the gov.sg Sender ID, and a notification letter to their registered address.

All national servicemen can access their LifeSG credits and check the validity through the LifeSG mobile app.

Those who are unable to access the credits digitally can request hardcopy vouchers by contacting the NS Call Centre on 1800-367-6767 or [email protected]

The credits aim to recognise the contributions of national servicemen to Singapore’s defence and security, said the joint statement.
