A total of nine people were arrested by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) on Aug. 19 for their suspected involvement in fixing basketball matches in a Singapore national basketball league.
In a press release by CPIB, the alleged matches that were fixed were part of the, Tagawa apparently beat Tong Whye 66 to 43.

In a press release by CPIB, the alleged matches that were fixed were part of the 2025 K. Star National Basketball League Division 1.
This league is organised by the Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS) and is held from Jul. 14 to Aug. 30.
The individuals arrested were aged between 19 and 35 years old.
Some players from the basketball teams participating in the tournament were among the nine individuals arrested.

In BAS's Facebook post, Tagawa apparently beat Tong Whye 66 to 43.
