LTA also reminded that PMAs are to allow those with mobility issues to travel more freely and live an active life, adding: "Others should not abuse these devices. "Let's all do our part to ride responsibly, observe the rules and maintain the safety of our public paths and roads." Under the Active Mobility Act, PMAs are allowed on footpaths and cycling paths but not on roads. Offenders may face a fine up to $2,000 and/or a jail term of up to three months.
