A woman in Kedah made a horrifying discovery when she found her husband's headless corpse in a paddy field after he allegedly got into an argument with her younger brother.
Nasir Md Nanyan, 45, was found decapitated with his head about a metre from his body, reported Sinar Harian.
He also bore multiple slash wounds.
His wife, Marliana Awang, 39, said she had rushed to the scene after hearing villagers talk about a fight near her mother’s house.
She'd last spoken to her husband at around 6:50pm, when he told her that several of their goats had not yet been brought home.
Tragic discovery in the paddy fields
Nasir had gone to look for goats but never returned, which caused Marliana to worry.
Not long after, villagers came to inform her of a fight near the paddy fields behind her mother’s house.
Marliana confessed that she already felt uneasy at that point. She immediately rushed there on a motorcycle and that was when she found his body.
"I screamed for help and held him in my arms while massaging his chest,” Marliana said about the discovery, according to the New Straits Times.
She cradled his body for hours before the villagers and the police found her.
Marliana described her late husband as a devoted father and hardworking man.
"All the plants in our yard were planted by him, and besides taking care of the goats, he also took up work spreading paddy,” she said, as reported by the New Straits Times.
